I hope that everyone reads my testimonial not to feel warm and fuzzy but because I have probably gone through what most of you have gone or are going through in regards to foreclosure and modifications and have experienced most if not all of the pitfalls and dangers that come with it. I asked for my full name and phone # to be posted but the law office said thank you but that wouldn't be necessary. That's how strongly I feel about Kucsan & McCrea and want the world to know that if their home is in jeopardy of being sold to call them. I am 100% confident that they are one of the good guys out there. I actually did a lot of research before choosing Kucsan & McCrea and it was their testimonial page on their website that helped me go with them.

So here we go...I was originally tricked into getting into an Option ARM by a broker who told me that I would be able to pay off my 30yr loan in 15 years. I noticed after a few months that my balance was increasing instead of decreasing so I called my broker and he said it was "recasting" and that very soon I would see my balance decreasing dramatically. I had also purchased an investment property in Las Vegas where I put down 200k that I had received from my father from monies that I inherited and put that property in an Option ARM as well. Despite having to accept the fact that I was deceived by my mortgage broker, I accepted it for what it was and continued to make payments on both these properties until I was put in the position where I had to take care of my sick sister AND mother. Coupled with the economy falling apart my income suffered and I quickly found myself unable to keep up with the payments. I heard about loan modifications and so I tried to do it on my own on my rental property. After getting the run round for months by the lender I was one day informed by the lender that my property had been sold. It was devastating. The 200k that I put down on that property was now gone. I knew I needed help and I needed it fast. There was no way I was going to lose my home especially with me in charge of taking care of family members who were sick and unable to take care of themselves. In 2005 my wife and I purchased a house as an investment property to have as a rental. We made two big mistakes with this house. We bought at the top of the housing bubble and we allowed ourselves to be talked into an adjustable rate mortgage with the provision of low minimum payments. What was not made clear at the time was that this was a negative amortization loan. So we soon realized that we had a loan that was monthly increasing in principle as the value of the house was decreasing. Even though Kucsan & McCrea kept me informed during the process, I must admit I was still nervous that I was going to be a victim. When the representative told me about the offer I was thrilled and sure enough days later the loan docs arrived with the offer they told me they got me. My dad was behind more than 6 months and didn't have to pay one penny to bring himself current but simply had to make his new modified fixed payment. His new payment went from $2058 interest only at 6.25% to $843 at 2% for the first 5 years. It then went up to 3% on the 5th year, 4% on the 6th year and then went fixed for the life of the loan at 5.125%. I cannot tell you how grateful and thankful I am for choosing Kucsan & McCrea. Not only did they save my dad's house but they also will save him tens of thousands of dollars for the life of the loan. He will never have to worry about his mortgage again. I highly recommend hiring the Law Offices of Kucsan and McCrea. My experience with Kucsan and McCrea has been over and above what I expected. In March 2009, I found out that all the equity that I had taken out of my homes and invested with an investment company had been seized by the Securities Exchange Commission for fraud. All my assets were frozen and I was not able to make my mortgage payments. Since then, I have had to sell, short sale and do loan modifications on my properties. I was in a panic and desperate for help. I hired a couple of law offices to do my loan modification on my two primary homes and they are either still working on it (since April) or they have taken my money and told me they could not help me. I have had to file a complaint with the State Bar on one of the law offices because I believe they were a scam.

By this time, I had fallen behind on my mortgage by 60 days on my primary condo. I called the staff at Kucsan and McCrea for help because I was in a panic. They were great, and said they worked on loans with Indymac. I was happy to hear that because the other law offices would tell me that IndyMac was one of the harder lenders to work with. I hired Kucsan and McCrea on September 15, 2009. They were a breath of fresh air! The day I submitted my application, there was a processor calling me back that day to walk me through the process and help me with submitting my documents. I got a call from them every week updating me on the status of my loan modification and letters telling me what they have done with my file. I was always able to contact them with any questions and they would call me back right away. They submitted my file on September 15, 2009 and got a 3-month trial period offer onOctober 28, 2009. After the trial period, IndyMac will then modify my loan. My mortgage was $2006/mo. and IndyMac was able to cut my mortgage in half. I now pay $1080/mo. My current rate is at 7% ARM and IndyMac is going to offer me a 30 year fixed rate.

I can't thank Kucsan and McCrea enough. They are a lifesaver! I am ecstatic with the work that Kucsan and McCrea have done to help me make my mortgage more affordable. Importantly, their professionalism made the whole experience painless and fast. They were able to get a modification in less than 2 months!

The law firm of Kucsan and McCrea is a rare find! I am very happy that I hired them. It's been such a pleasure working with them that now, I am a little sad that I don't need to be in contact with them on a weekly basis. :) My only regret is that I didn't hire them for my other property.

I worked in collections for a major auto company for over 20 years and my husband worked at his government job for over 20 years as well. We would call Kucsan & McCrea scared, angry, or confused about the entire process and they would answer all our questions and put us on a 3-way conference call with the lender to reassure us that Kucsan & McCrea was in the system and progress was in fact taking place. Being that I worked in collections for so many years I knew that one department does not have access to the screens of another department and that often times that only adds confusion. The lender's collections and escalation departments would continue to call us and tell us thatKucsan & McCrea was not in their system and that the lowest they could go was 5%. Kucsan & McCrea was able to get us 4.5% fixed for the life of the loan. I can't tell you how happy I am. I am the care giver for my mother who is sick as well as a family member who is handicapped.
